Jon Bon Jovi, his wife, and the members of the band have made a $1 million donation to help rebuild his home state of New Jersey, which was ravaged by Hurricane Sandy last October.
The donation, which will go towards repairing damaged homes and other establishments in various communities, was announced yesterday (7/8) in Jon's hometown of Sayreville. He was joined by New Jersey governor Chris Christie.
Bon Jovi said: ''Natural disasters spare no one. But you can't imagine the devastation, destruction and despair until Mother Nature takes aim at your home town. This is bitter sweet; it's heartbreaking to see our fellow New Jerseyans so affected by the ravages of Hurricane Sandy but we're happy to make the donation and offer real, substantial help to the residents of Sayreville and the nearby, low-lying communities as they rebuild their homes and lives.''
