William Shatner has recorded his 7th studio album, this time a prog rock effort featuring Robby Krieger, Mick Jones, Rick Wakeman, Edgar Winter, Steve Vai and Vince Gill. It is set for release on October 8th.
The concept record is called ‘Ponder The Mystery’ and the 82-year-old actor says he's tackled themes of "ageing, depression, love and beauty. It's quite possible the most creative thing I've ever done."
The new album follows his 2011 release ‘Seeking Major Tom,’ for which he enlisted the talents of Ritchie Blackmore, Steve Howe, Sheryl Crow, John Wetton and others. It included his take on Queen’s ‘Bohemian Rhapsody.’
